A SPECIAL ONE NIGHT ONLY pERFORMANCE
TO RAISE MONEY FOR
This special one-night-only performance of INTO THE WOODS will be performed as a benefit for St. Jude's Children's Hospital as all the proceeds will be donated to children and their families currently fighting cancer.
Rehearsals and production will take span over the course of ONE WEEK (not including a zoom general meeting and a potential rehearsal or two over zoom with our production staff). Actors will receive their rehearsal materials via mail and be expected to come to rehearsal completely off book and ready to work.
This production will be performed for an in-person audience and live-streamed to an at-home audience to provide an opportunity to raise the most money for St. Jude's.
All actors must be over 18 years of age (with the exception of JACK & LITTLE RED).
Actors MUST be completely available for all rehearsals between 06/11/2023-06/18/2023. This is a ONE WEEK COMMITMENT.

[WITCH] 18 to 55 years old, all ethnicities woman, transgender woman, nonbinary. Outwardly: self-serving, possessive, sarcastic, vain, charismatic. Inwardly: insecure and lonely. Strong lower register and powerful belt to Eb5.
[BAKER] 25 to 45 years old, all ethnicities man, transgender man, nonbinary. Average working man. Warm hearted, determined, yet insecure. Baritone with exceptional range.
[THE BAKER'S WIFE] All girl, girl. 20 to 45 years old, all ethnicities woman, transgender woman, nonbinary. Determined and bright. Romantic at heard, but materialistic. Strong lower register with mix/belt to E5.
[CINDERELLA] 18 to 30 years old, all ethnicities woman, transgender woman, nonbinary. Earnest, warm-hearted, kind, trying to find her place in the world. A survivor. Soprano to High G. ROLE IS ON OFFER. STILL ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS.
[JACK] 14 to 20 years old, all ethnicities man / boy, transgender man / boy, nonbinary. Giant Killer. Impulsive, eager to please. Strong mix to Ab4. Prefer a more mixed sound than a belt.
[LITTLE RED RIDINGHOOD] 14 to 20 years old, all ethnicities woman / girl, transgender woman / girl, nonbinary. Spoiled, clever, vain. Bright belt to F5.
[CINDERELLA'S PRINCE/WOLF] 25 to 45 years old, all ethnicities man, transgender man, nonbinary. PRINCE: Spoiled, clever, vain. WOLF: Hungry, insatiable, sensual, seductive. Strong lower register with belt. ROLE IS ON OFFER. STILL TAKING SUBMISSIONS.
[RAPUNZEL] 18 to 30 years old, all ethnicities woman, transgender woman, nonbinary. Lovely maiden, but loopy. Innocent of worldly matters. Legit soprano to high Ab5 (higher always a plus).
[RAPUNZEL'S PRINCE] 20 to 35 years old, all ethnicities man, transgender man, nonbinary. Just as vain, confident, and handsome as his older brother. Strong lower register with belt.
[JACK'S MOTHER] 30 to 50 years old, all ethnicities woman, transgender woman, nonbinary. Strong willed and a fighter. Excellent comedic timing. Good range.
[NARRATOR/MYSTERIOUS MAN] 40 to 75 years old, all ethnicities man, transgender man, nonbinary. NARRATOR: Intellectual, pleasant. Strong story telling skills. MYSTERIOUS MAN: Mysterious character with secret. Mostly acting role with physical movement- should have solid bass-baritone vocals.
